The Stop Over

Riddle me this: Which is one of the last countrys in the Europe Union to not have Sunday shopping?

If you guessed Germany good job (if not better luck next time).

What day did we arrive in Germany?

Sunday.

The first thing we realized is that Germany is not as anti-smoking as Canada. From the airport we walked to the train station and at 7 o'clock in the morning there were a bunch of old guys smoking and drinking. We than pissed off the locals by taking a half an hour to buy train tickets. To further frustrate them we couldn't figure out how to get in the train (you have to open the door (duh)). You know those zombie movies where everything is dead and the streets are absolutely deserted. That pretty much sums up most of our experience in Frankfurt. It was beautiful and some of the architexture was breathtaking but at 7:30 am it was kinda quiet. Somehow we ended of spending the majority of our time in a Starbucks (totally against my will (I really hate coffee)).

To be continued...
